Ride with me as I take my Aventon Ramblas on a single track mtb trail to see how the motor rattles. By the end of the ride, do you notice it?

I have seen where people have complained about the “rattle” that the motor of the Aventon Ramblas creates. In this video, I got for 4 mile ride with no words, no music, just the ride. You hear what I hear.

By the end of the ride, will you notice it?

I show you all the modifications and accessories I have installed on to my Aventon Ramblas.

34 Float 29 FIT4 Factory Boost Fork

I found this fork on Backcountry. It was on sale when I purchased it, use the link to find the current pricing.

Fox Racing Shox Fork Decal Kit

The fork comes stock with orange decals on the forks. I wanted the logo to blend in to the bike so I purchased this kit to mute out the orange.

Fox Racing Mountain Bike Mud Guard

This small front fender is perfect for my use. I purchased the green one as it matches the bike.

FSA Headset Spacer

The bike tech who installed my parts added this headset spacer to give a little touch of color.

PNW Loam Lever 2

A common issue with the stock Ramblas is the dropper seat post lever. I found it to be very stiff so I replace it. I like the fact that this lever comes in different colors as well. I purchased the version with the 22.2mm clamp as I like to have my lever a littler farther away from the grip than the MMX mount provides.

Trail One Hell’s Gate Grips

I am a huge fan of these grips. They are wider than the stock grips but not to thick to where they hurt my hands. I like these grips so much that I have put them on all of my mountain bikes.

Maxxis Agressor (29×2.5wt – Dual, DD, Tubless Ready)

I wanted to go tubless with my setup. I put this tire on the rear. I was doing research on tires and saw that others were using this setup on their Ramblas. The Recon tires that came with the Ramblas didn’t seem to grip as much with the terrain I ride on so I switched to this.

Maxxis Minion DHF (29×2.50wt – 3CG, Exo+)

I put this tire on the front. I saw that this is a fast tire but great for cornering.

Muc-Off  Tubless Valves (44mm)

When going tubless, you need to have tubless tire valves. I like Muc-Off products and these seem to do the trick.

FlatOut Tire Sealant – Sportsman Edition

I have found FlatOut to be the best tire sealant I have ever used. I asked the bike shop to use this instead of the normal tire slime. I use it all of my bikes, whether they have tubes or tubeless.

2024 Fox Transfer F-S, Kashima, 31.6mm, 150mm

I felt that the stock dropper seat post was slow in response time. I wanted to see if a different dropper would provide me with a better experience. I was correct. I choose this one as I wanted it to match the front forks.

WTB Pure Saddle

For me, the stock seat kept getting stuck on my clothing when getting off and on the bike. I saw good reviews on this seat. I do like this seat better.

I’m in love with the Aventon Aurora Ramblas Plus Upgrades

In this video, I show you what the new limited edition Aurora Aventon Ramblas looks like up close. I also cover the differences between the limited edition and the Borialis model. Let’s talk about what upgrades I am doing to my stock Ramblas.

Planned Upgrades to the Aventon Aurora Ramblas

  • Upgraded the grips to Trail One Hellgate for a thicker and grippier feel.
  • Added a bell from Amazon, as the bike didn’t come with one.
  • Replaced the stock dropper post level with a PNW dropper seat post lever for better performance.
  • The bike’s stock tires are being upgraded to more aggressive ones for better trail performance.
  • Upgrades also involve changing the fork system and seat, with potential changes to pedals pending a trial run to gauge preference.
  • Plans to test the upgrades to assess performance before applying them to another bike.

“These grips are a little bit thicker and provide just the right amount of grip.”
