It has a really nice Street pattern on it and I’m really digging the tan side walls. - The bike’s height is relatively short, suitable for a fold-up bike.
“So far it’s riding exactly how I expect it would. One thing I always added a couple safety features this bike does not come with a bell so I added one to it. Let’s talk size and fit, now this saddle is where I like it at the very minimum though is down to here, that’s the minimum. and it goes all the way up to here for your six two. and that’s where that position would be. This is how I get it into the garage so there we go that is the height of it, actually shorter than me I mean I can see right over the top of it which I guess it would be for a fold up bike.”
Riding Experience and Comfort
- The ride has been effortless and comfortable.
- The front shocks are doing their job well.
- The gumminess of the tires makes it super comfortable to ride.
- The bike feels comfortable on different terrains.
- The Sinch 2 can handle off-road trails with ease.
“I’m really digging the tires…it’s just pretty comfortable on its own…the gumminess of these tires make it super comfortable to ride.”
Different Modes and Their Uses
- The Sinch 2 has different modes: Eco, Tour, Sport, and Turbo.
- The different modes control the speed at which the bike assists.
- Higher setups help with uphill climbs.
- The modes can be useful for different riding scenarios.
“It’s going to help you get up a hill easier…but basically what it’s going to do is it’s going to help you get up a hill easier, the higher setup that you have…what would be the use of having these different modes that you could have…with the Eco tour, you know, Sport, and Turbo.”
Issue with Cable Rubbing Against Tire
- The cable for the brake lights is rubbing against the tire.
- The rubbing is causing the cable to wear down.
- Carrying zip ties could be a quick solution for securing the cable.
“I kept hearing this rubbing noise…it’s rubbing up against the tire to the point where it is starting to wear the cable…I’m gonna have to start carrying zip ties with me for when I have stuff like this going…”
Pedal Assist Speed Test
- The bike’s zero to twenty speed in Turbo mode using throttle only is approximately 22 seconds.
- Testing different pedal assist levels, there is not much difference in speed between Eco and Tour modes.
- Sport mode slightly improves acceleration.
- Turbo mode provides the quickest acceleration.
“That was like 10 seconds…about 10 seconds again…like seven seconds…yeah, like six, seven seconds.”
Brake Test and Performance
- A brake test was conducted in an empty parking lot.
- The bike took 15 to 18 feet to come to a complete stop.
- There was a significant difference in braking distance based on bike speed.
- Mechanical brakes on the Sinch 2 performed well.
“We’re at 20…you know, we’re gonna do it one more time…that’s too much of a difference…for a bike that can only do 20…I mean, the other one was 18, this was 17…I mean, the other one was 18, this was 17.”
Riding Experience and Tire Performance
- The bike feels comfortable to ride and does not feel like a smaller foldable bike.
- The wider handlebars make the bike feel stable.
- The Sinch 2 handles off-road trails with ease.
- The tires contribute to a smooth and enjoyable ride.
“It doesn’t even feel like I’m riding a foldable bike…very comfortable…I can see where somebody can just take this out for a long leisurely ride and just have a ball with it…I’m really enjoying…how this bike doesn’t even ride like a smaller foldable bike.”
Battery Performance and Range
- At 17 miles, the battery had 46% power remaining.
- Battery power decreases faster in cold weather.
- The bike surges when battery power gets low.
- The Sinch 2 has a range of at least 25 miles.
“We’re at 46 battery power…this weather…putting a hurting on this battery…when the battery gets low, it kinda surges…we’re at 17, we’re at 22 miles…we’re down to 8% battery…we’re at 25 miles…we’re still moving.”
Eco Mode
- Riding the bike in Eco mode allows for a longer range.
- The reviewer is impressed with the range of the bike.
- The throttle is not being used to make the ride more realistic.
- The Aventon Sinch 2 makes the rider want to pedal.
“I’m very impressed with it to be able to tell you the truth…this bike makes you want to just pedal it.”
Mechanical Brakes
- The reviewer mentions a weird noise coming from the back of the bike.
- The noise could be due to the mechanical brakes needing adjustment.
- Once the brakes are adjusted, the bike should be in good condition.
“Every once in a while it does make this weird noise…I do think it could be that these mechanical brakes need just a little adjusting and from there it’ll probably be golden.”
Color Display Features
- The color display has a USB port at the bottom to charge a phone while riding.
- The USB port can trickle charge the phone to avoid running out of battery.
- The display is seen clearly even in different lighting conditions.
“The color display does have a USB port down at the bottom that will trickle charge your phone while you’re riding…you can see the screen very clear.”
Battery Life
- The display does not have a volt meter to show the remaining battery percentage.
- The battery level is currently at five percent.
- The reviewer expects to make it home without running out of battery.
“I’m just kind of bummed that that doesn’t have a volt meter because then I would know how close to being out of battery I am…we’re at five percent so I should be able to make it home.”
Final Thoughts
- The bike performed excellently and was enjoyable to ride.
- The wider handlebars provided a stable ride.
- Mechanical brakes were used instead of hydraulic brakes due to the folding feature.
- The seat may need to be replaced for added comfort.
- The bike’s color scheme is appreciated.
- The reviewer was able to achieve more mileage than expected.
“This bike did excellent…I did like the fact that these handlebars are wider…did love the tires…the mechanical brakes they work just fine…let’s trade out this seat…I do really enjoy the color of this thing…I was able to get more mileage out of this than I thought I was going to be able to.”
