Velotric Nomad 1 and Aventon Aventure hit a MTB trail.

I test out my Velotric Nomad 1 Fat Tire E-bike on a Mountain Bike (MTB) Trail for the first time. I brought a buddy along who had never ridden an e-bike or an MTB trail before, and it didn’t go so well for him.

Video Summary

Introducing the trail and the bikes

  • The video starts with the narrator introducing the video and mentioning that it is Thanksgiving morning.
  • The narrator is joined by a friend, Greg Voland, who is a high-end realtor in Chicago.
  • They are going to test the new Velotrec Nomad 1 and the narrator’s Aventon Aventure on the Soldiers Memorial Field mountain bike trail.
  • Greg has never been on an e-bike or ridden on a mountain bike trail before.

“I brought him out here to Soldiers Memorial Field mountain bike trail because it’s a fun trail… He’s never ridden on a mountain bike trail…I know that it’ll do well for him.”

Initial experience on the trail

  • Greg has his first fall 10 seconds into the trail ride and breaks the camera mounts.
  • They encounter challenging parts of the trail where they have to navigate through trees and over bumps.
  • The narrator falls and gets some blood on his pants.

“I had my first fall about 10 seconds in.” “It tore right through there… it worked exactly how I thought it would.”

Assessing the damage and complications

  • The narrator evaluates the damage to both bikes after the trail ride.
  • The narrator’s Aventon Aventure has a bent fender.
  • The camera on the Velotrec Nomad 1 got damaged due to crashes.
  • The narrator’s drone also hit a branch and cracked.

“I don’t know if I can get a new one… I like this bike without the fenders.” “You’re only going to get like two drone shots in this video because, well, I crashed it again.”

Greg’s overall experience and conclusion

  • Greg reflects on his overall experience, acknowledging that it was a lot of firsts for him.
  • After understanding how to use the power assist and handle the technical parts of the trail, Greg found it to be a fun experience.
  • He appreciated the invite and would do it again.

“I will say though…once I understood how to finesse the power assist… it really is a fun tool…it was a lot of fun…I would do it again for sure.”
