Multiljoy Fat Tire Ebike: Unboxing, Assembly, and Test Ride.
Multiljoy Fat Tire Ebike: Unboxing, Assembly, and Test Ride.
Multijoy sent me their Spaniel Fat Tire E-bike. Is this the Best Budget Ebike for 2022? I have to admit that I was impressed with how many ways you can configure this bike thru the controller. I am looking forward to putting this up against my Aventon Aventure.
Unboxing and Packaging
- The packaging is excellent, with the bike well-protected.
- There are a few boxes with additional items like a Multi-Joy hat, a water holder, screws, and tools.
- A user manual is included for assembly guidance.
- The bike comes with a headlight, which is a 48 volt and expected to be super bright.
- There is also a ribbon or medallion included, but its purpose is unclear.
“The packaging was excellent, very secure and well protected.”
Assembly Process
- The tools provided are sufficient for assembling the bike.
- The battery is already fully charged and ready to go.
- The handlebars are attached first, not too tight to allow for adjustment later.
- The front wheel is easily put on, with caution to remove the side covers and avoid touching the brake rotor.
- The headlight and front fender are installed, with attention to the proper alignment and use of provided tools.
“The assembly process is straightforward, with clear instructions and provided tools.”
First Impressions and Adjustments
- The handlebars and headlight can be adjusted for height and angle.
- The wiring for the headlight is wrapped and secured with a Velcro strip.
- Arrows on the headlight and front fender indicate proper alignment.
- The front fender is attached with the provided bolt and nut.
“The bike allows for adjustments and provides a clean look with secure attachments.”
Assembly instructions and modifications
- The holes need to be at the same height for proper assembly.
- An extra nut was used to connect the fender to the top, allowing for easy removal without disturbing the light.
“Run it through because you want these holes to be at the same height.”
“I kept the light tight and then I just used one of those extra nuts that was in this package here to put the fender on to connect it to the top.”
Pedal installation
- There are left and right pedals that need to be screwed on differently.
- The left pedal should be screwed in counterclockwise.
“You have a left and a right, they’re going to be screwed on two different ways but it says left right on it.”
“This left pedal, you’ll be screwing it in counterclockwise.”
Adding the water bottle cage
- The water bottle cage is included with the bike.
- The positioning of the cage is considered good, but it will be evaluated during the test ride.
“We’re now doing the final thing and that is putting on the water bottle cage because it came with the bike.”
“I think the positioning of it is probably pretty good, I don’t know, we’re going to figure it out on the test ride.”
Features of the Multiljoy Fat Tire Ebike
