Aventon Aventure Mods and Accessories
Aventon Aventure Mods and Accessories
I show you all the modifications and accessories I have installed on to my Aventon Aventure.
Hafney Bar End Mirror
- The Hefney bar end mirror is a simple mirror that screws onto the end of the handlebars.
- It can be easily tucked away when traveling and adjusted for better visibility.
“I like the fact that this one’s simple, it just screws on the end. You can tuck it away when traveling, you can adjust it and it makes it very simple for you to be able to see what’s behind you.”
Ceco USA 1000 Lumen Headlight
- This headlight is a 1000 lumen rechargeable and removable light.
- It has different functions and brightness levels, making it suitable for both day and night use.
“This one actually pulses, and that’s what I wanted to use it for, basically like daytime running lights as I drive and ride around during the day.”
GoPro Mount
- The GoPro mount is the official GoPro bicycle mount that rotates 360 degrees.
- It allows for easy mounting and adjustment of a GoPro camera.
“I do like the fact that it’ll rotate 360 degrees, but really in this configuration, I don’t rotate it at all.”
Lamacil Phone Holder
- The phone holder is a convenient holder for your phone that can be easily adjusted.
- It allows for easy access to your phone and can be angled to avoid glare.
“All you do is just put your phone up in there and see how things open up. Plus, you can angle it so when the glare starts hitting it, if the sun hits it right, you can just turn it back.”
KBrotech Handlebar Extender
- The Kybro Tech handlebar extender allows for the mounting of additional accessories.
- It comes in different sizes and widths and can be easily installed on the Aventon Aventure bike.
“This has allowed me to mount these three things up here with no issues.”
Greallthy Bike Bell
- The Grilthy bell is a vertical bell that is high quality and has a good sound.
- It is more solid and better built compared to other bells.
“It makes a good noise, you can hear it pretty well, and it just seems more solid and better built than other ones that I put on here.”
Fomtor 31.8 Adjustable Stem
- The FOMTOR adjustable stem allows for the handlebars to rise up and come back.
- It requires some adjustments and takes time to find the right position.
“It took a while for me to get it on, it’s pretty easy but getting that adjustment right, like you have to ride the bike, take it out multiple times to get the adjustment to figure out where you’re going to be happy with your handlebars coming back and how far up you want it.”
Foldylock Compact Folding Bike Lock
- The Foldy lock is a compact lock that fits nicely where the water bottle would go.
- It can be used to lock the front tire or secure the back wheel to the frame.
“It’s perfect for locking your front tire to a pole or I can use it and secure the back wheel to the frame.”
Aventon Aventure Skid Plate
- The skid plate is a protective plate that prevents damage to cables underneath the bike.
- It is easy to hook up and provides peace of mind when riding on mountain bike trails.
“It’s relatively cheap, and it’s super simple to hook up. I’m excited about hitting my next mountain bike trail with this shield, as I won’t be worried about my cables that are underneath.”
Shortened Crank and New Pedals
- The crank has been shortened to a 152mm length to prevent pedal strikes.
- New pedals were also added for better performance.
“I haven’t had a single pedal strike since I shortened this and I figured since I banged this one up from pedal strikes on the mountain bike trails, what a great time to get me a new set of pedals.”
Redshift Shockstop Suspension Seatpost
- The Redshift seat suspension is an option to improve comfort while riding.
- It helps absorb shocks and bumps, reducing strain on the rider.
“The Redshift seat suspension was a choice between that or the Sunoco one.”
Wittkop Medicus Air Bike Seat
- Choose a men’s or women’s seat without a vent.
- Used the seat for a 53-mile and over 700-mile trek without any issues.
- Liked the look and feel of the seat, maintaining the mountain bike feel.
“This is what I used for the 53-mile trek and for the over 700 miles I’ve put on this bike so far without any issue.”
Aventon Rear Rack and Fixing Issue
- Added a rack to carry a spare battery.
- Aventon rack was chosen and installed with ease for a large-sized bike.
- Experienced an issue with the rack unhooking due to weight shifting, which caused the pieces to disconnect.
- Tried a fix by tightening the rack but ended up breaking it.
- Used bungee cords to prevent the rack from moving back and disconnected.
“Rack is from Aventon, you can get it straight from their website. Install is very easy, it has a max weight of 55 pounds.”
Rock Bros Bike Rack Bag with Panniers
- Choose the Rock Bros bag for carrying items during long trips.
- Bag does not accommodate a spare battery.
- Panniers provide extra storage space.
- Can keep the bag connected to the bike without needing to hook and unhook it repeatedly.
“This is the Rock Bros bag, it’s a quality bag for what I’ve used it for.”
