Aventon Aventure: 500 Mile Review
Aventon Aventure: 500 Mile Review
In this video, I talk about the things I like and do not like about the Aventon Aventure. After 500 miles of riding, I share with you my thoughts.
The Good
- People compliment the bike’s appearance.
- The bike is tough and can handle off-road trails.
“People love the way this bike looks…it’s one of the reasons why I fell in love with it.”
Things I Learned
- The bike requires power to be on for the throttle to work.
- The bike kicks back when pedaling stops in pedal assist mode.
- You need to torque the pedals to activate the pedal assist.
“You have to have the bike in at least pedal assist number one for the throttle to work…when you have it in pedal assist mode and you stop pedaling, you feel it kick back on you.”
Battery Life
- On a full charge, the bike’s battery says it can go 45 miles, but the best the reviewer has achieved is 35 miles.
- An extra battery can be purchased separately.
“The farthest I’ve been able to go…is 35 miles…the best I’ve been able to get is 35 miles out of a battery charge with eight percent left…if you are looking about getting one of these bikes…that is an option.”
Bike Speed
- The bike’s top speed can be increased to 28 miles per hour by using the Aventon app.
- The reviewer has achieved speeds of up to 31 miles per hour by pedaling hard.
“The fastest you could get it to go was 20 miles per hour…you can actually make it become a class 3 bike and go up to 28 miles per hour…I’ve had mine up to like 31 if you pedal it really hard.”
Versatility and Functionality
- The bike is versatile and can be ridden on city streets as well as wooded or gravel roads.
- The Aventon Aventure is a great purchase for the cost and the reviewer rides it frequently.
“Not only can I ride it through the streets of Chicago, but I can also take it on some wooded or gravel roads…for what the cost is, this has been a great purchase…I ride this bike way more than what I thought I would.”
