Velotric Nomad 1 Mods and Accessories
Velotric Nomad 1 Mods and Accessories
I show you all the modifications and accessories I have installed on to my Nomad 1 Fat Tire Ebike.
Flat Tire Sealant
- The most important accessory for the e-bike is the flat tire sealant.
- It seals any small holes in the inner tube and prevents flats.
- The speaker has used this sealant on all of his e-bikes and has had zero flats.
“What this product does is you put it inside your tires and it’s a sealant so if you get a little hole in your inner tube or something from running over something, it’ll seal it.”
Greallthy Bike Bell
- The speaker replaced the factory bell on the Velotrek Nomad one with the Greallthy Bike Bell Classic Brass Bicycle Bell.
- The factory bell was made of plastic and didn’t work well.
- The new bell works every time and improves safety.
“I wasn’t a big fan of the Bell that came with the Nomad one so I replaced it with this Greallthy Bike Bell Classic Brass Bicycle Bell.”
Hafney Bar End Mirror
- I add the Hafney Bar End Mirror to all of my e-bikes.
- This mirror provides a view of what’s behind the bike, which is important for safety.
- The 68-millimeter mirror offers a wider viewing space.
“Safety is a big thing with me so being able to see behind me, especially in Chicago, is a must. So I put on all of my e-bikes this Hafney bar end mirror.”
Lamacil Phone Holder
- The phone holder is a convenient holder for your phone that can be easily adjusted.
- It allows for easy access to your phone and can be angled to avoid glare.
“An accessory that I put on all of my e-bikes is this Lamacil phone holder. The cool thing is you just push it in there and I know it’s not going anywhere.”
OMTOR Adjustable Stem
- The OMTOR 31.8 Adjustable Stem is used by the speaker to adjust the handlebars to a higher and more comfortable position.
- The handlebars can be adjusted from zero to 90 degrees.
- To make it work with the Velotrec Nomad 1, two different kits are needed.
“This is the OMTOR 31.8 adjustable stem. It goes from zero to 90 degrees and the reason I put that on there is I like my handlebars to be a little bit higher and back and this allows me to do that.”
Handlebar Extender
- The KBROTECH Bike Handlebar Extender is used to create more space on the handlebars.
- It provides additional space to mount accessories such as a cell phone holder or GoPro mount.
CECO-USA Rechargeable Bike Light
- It offers a strobe feature for daytime running light visibility.
- The speaker also appreciates the four different brightness levels for nighttime riding.
“We all know the Nomad has its own front headlight that’s integrated into the bike. The reason I like this light is because it has a strobe feature and I use that during the daytime as like a daytime running light.”
GoPro Mount
- The speaker recommends the official GoPro 360 Degree Bike Mount for recording rides.
- The mount can spin and rotate 360 degrees.
- It is easy to attach and detach from the bike.
“If you like recording your rides, this is the GoPro official 360-degree bike mount.”
Upgraded Pedals
- The MZYRH Mountain Bike Pedals are used by the speaker instead of the stock pedals.
- The pedals have better grip and are made of aluminum.
- They are available in various colors.
“These are my MZYRH Mountain Bike Pedals. Now, the pedals that come with this bike you could totally have, but they felt like they were more plastic. I like these more aluminum ones.”
Bike Lock
- The Foldy Lock Bike Lock is recommended by the speaker.
- It is key-operated and can be easily attached to the side of the bike.
- The lock doesn’t interfere with the rider’s ankles and is easily accessible.
“On each one of my bikes, I have this Foldy Lock Bike Lock. With this one, you just use a key and it opens up, and you can lock your stuff up.”
Suspension Seat Post
- The speaker prefers having a good suspension seat post for these types of bikes.
- The Canoper Suspension Seat Post is recommended.
- It provides a smoother ride and can be easily installed.
“When it comes to these types of bikes, I’m always down for having a good suspension seat post. This one was a cheaper one – a Canoper suspension seat post.”
Rear Rack
- The speaker uses the Factory Rear Rack from Velotric for the Nomad one.
- This rack is designed specifically for this bike and ensures a proper fit.
- Velotric also offers a front rack for those who prefer it.
“This is the rear rack Factory rack from velotric for The Nomad 1. This rack was designed specifically for this bike, and that’s why I always like getting the factory racks when it comes to these bikes.”
Rear Trunk Tank Bag
- The Rock Bros Rear Trunk Tank Bag offers extra storage space for the bike.
- It is well-made, securely attached with Velcro straps, and has a rain cover.
- The bag can also hold a water bottle and has additional panniers for extended storage.
“This is the Rock Bros rear trunk tank bag. I really like this bag number one because it just looks good and it’s also really well made.”
Battery Operated Light Replacement
- The speaker replaced the original battery-operated light on the Nomad one with the Blitzu USB Rechargeable Tail Light.
- The new light offers more features and brightness levels.
- It can be easily charged and provides better visibility.
“The Nomad comes with this battery-operated light that’s really hard to turn on. I ended up getting these Blitzu USB rechargeable tail lights.”
